OUTRAGE surrounds Waukesha parade suspect Darrell Brooks being granted bail before the deadly attack as the Milwaukee District Attorney's office has admitted to being at fault.

Before the deadly incident, Brooks — the 39-year-old suspect who was taken into custody in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Sunday night — was released on bail on November 11.

On Monday, the Milwaukee County District Attorney said Brooks should not receive an ...inappropriately low... bail of $1,000 given his previous charges, with the most recent case dating from a November 2 incident of domestic violence.

...The State’s bail recommendation in this case was inappropriately low in light of the nature of the recent charges and the pending charges against Mr. Brooks,... Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm's office said in a statement on Monday, according to Fox News.

...The bail recommendation in this case is not consistent with the approach of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office toward matters involving violent crime, nor was it consistent with the risk assessment of the defendant prior to setting of bail....

Brooks' most recent bail for $1,000 cash was posted on November 11 — after he allegedly punched a woman and then ran a woman over with an SUV.

The SUV was the same vehicle he allegedly used to plow through the Waukesha Christmas parade on Sunday, killing five and hurting dozens more.

According to the DA's office, the suspect has multiple pending cases in the county, and another bail which was first set at $10,000 — later dropped down to $500.

That incident, dated in February, stemmed from accusations that Brooks shot his nephew the previous summer during an unspecified altercation.

An internal review of the bail recommendation decision is now being conducted, the DA's office revealed.

In the case where the bail was $1,000, a woman whom Brooks had a child with told police he intentionally ran her over in his car after a fight, with Brooks pleading not guilty to those charges.

Another criminal complaint that was filed in July 2020 shows Brooks is facing felony charges such as recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm.

Brooks, whose criminal history stretches back to 1999, has also previously been charged with battery, other firearms offenses and in 2006 was convicted of statutory sexual seduction after having sex with a 15-year-old in Nevada.

The girl fell pregnant and Brooks received three years probation for the charge and became a registered sex offender.

In 2016, he was once again charged with violating Nevada's sex crime laws and he allegedly skipped bail and fled the region.

He is still the subject of an active warrant, in that case, police say. They believed him to be in Wisconsin but were unaware of his specific whereabouts.

Despite being detained in Wisconsin twice after that, Brooks managed to avoid being turned over to authorities in Nevada and reobtained freedom on both occasions before his arrest after Sunday's parade tragedy.

The 39-year-old is set to be charged with five counts of intentional homicide in connection to the horrific incident.

Five people died and more than 40 people were injured – including 12 kids – in the horror as families and performers celebrated the annual holiday event.

Victims identified as Virginia Sorenson, 79 Leanna Owens, 71 Tamara Durand, 52 James Coolidge, 52 Wilhelm Hospel, 82.

Officials said on Monday that 18 children were treated at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin following the rampage.

Cops opened fire on the SUV as it plowed through a barrier and sped off.

Officers later swooped at an address in Milwaukee, where the SUV was parked in the driveway.

The front of the vehicle was crumpled right up to the windscreen with its bumper and license plate hanging off.

Brooks was detained there and he reportedly complained of a sore shoulder as he was taken into custody.

Videos posted on YouTube by Brooks appear to show the same car that plowed into the parade.

The first three letters on the license plate ADP and the vehicle's description are the same as reportedly heard on the police scanner.

Court documents link Brooks, who wrote about killing people in concerning rap lyrics, to the address in Milwaukee where he was arrested.
