A CHICAGO Transit Authority bus crashed into a Kentucky Fried Chicken with reports that the driver was pinned in the wreckage.

The bus slammed into the restaurant on Western Avenue in Chicago's Tri-Taylor community late Friday.

The crash occurred shortly after 7pm.

Police told CBS2 that the driver suffered some sort of medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.

The bus driver was taken to an area hospital, according to the outlet.

The video footage appears to show the bus slammed into the back of the building with wreckage under its wheels.

The KFC did not appear to suffer too much damage, but the front of the bus looked crushed.

There were no other injuries reported from the crash, according to authorities.

No citations have been issued in the crash.
