KANYE West has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, despite dissing the award show by PEEING on his trophies last year.

The rapper ripped the Recording Academy in a bizarre rant against the music industry and record labels.

Kanye, 44, has been nominated for four awards this year, including Album of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song.

The musician has dominated the categories with the release of his album DONDA, despite his erratic rant last year against the award ceremony.

The record producer has also received nominations for his collaboration with Lil Nas X on his album Montero and for his performance of Hurricane with the Weeknd and Lil Baby.

Kanye rounded off the nominations with his song Jail from DONDA, in the running for Best Rap Song, according to Variety.

The recognition came as a shock for many after the fashion designer exploded into a wild social media rant last year over the Grammys.

In September of 2020, the father of four shared a video that appeared to show him peeing on his grammy, after placing it in the toilet bowl.

Kanye captioned his outrageous clip: ...Trust me, I won't stop....

His tweet came after he put the record label Universal on blast, alleging he had signed over 10 contracts with them and that they had tried to ...bury him alive....

He also put a call out to his long-time nemesis Taylor Swift, asking for her support as he tried to obtain his masters.

...Bono can I get a retweet Love you Paul can I get a retweet love you Drake Kendrick even Taylor We need you right noooooow,... he begged.

Taylor famously was not allowed to buy back her masters from Big Machine Records before they sold the company to Scooter Braun.

In a second tweet, he added: ...When you sign a music deal you sign away your rights. Without the masters you can’t do anything with your own music.

...Someone else controls where it’s played and when it’s played. Artists have nothing except the fame, touring and merch....

He continued in a third message: read: ...The artist deserve to own our masters ... artist are starving without tours ... Ima go get our masters ... for all artist ... pray for me....

Kanye has battled with bipolar disorder for years, and his problems first became public knowledge in July of 2020 during his presidential rally in South Carolina.

He shocked fans and his family when he broke down in tears and recalled that his now-ex Kim Kardashian had considered aborting their eldest daughter North, with Ye sharing that she ...had the pills in her hand....

The drama continued when the rapper claimed on Twitter that he had been trying to divorce Kim for two years and accused the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star of having an affair with Meek Mill.

After seven years of marriage, the SKIMS founder filed for divorce from the Yeezy creator in February of this year.
