Britney shared the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Alongside a photo of a cat sitting next to a full glass of red wine, the Toxic singer wrote: ...I just shot a movie titled THE IDOL … it’s guaranteed to have hits and a lot bright pics to put in my beautiful family’s faces !!!!!

...I hope you guys are having a merry ole jolly time cause I sure am !!!!

...If I go quiet from time to time, you can catch me with this cat somewhere....

The Weeknd, 31, has yet to confirm Britney's appearance in the movie.

The jab at her family isn't surprising, as the singer has slammed her father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie Lynn Spears amid her conservatorship trial.

BRIT'S VICTORY

Britney's conservatorship officially ended after 13 years without requiring any further mental evaluation as Judge Brenda Penny ruled in favor of the Grammy award winner.

Earlier this month, Judge Penny ruled that Britney's conservatorship be terminated, giving the hitmaker control of her life for the first time since before 2008.

In September, Britney's case returned to a Los Angeles courtroom where Judge Penny made a number of bombshell rulings, following her father Jamie Spears' decision to step down from the conservatorship the month prior.

She ruled to suspend Jamie from the conservatorship, however, it did not mean the end of the conservatorship altogether at the time.

BABY ON THE BRAIN

Earlier this month, Britney revealed she is hoping to have another child with fiance Sam Asghari, 27.

However, a source exclusively told The Sun that Britney allegedly wants her family to have no contact with her future child.

The singer previously hinted she’s had a baby on the brain in various social media posts and now that the pop star is free from her conservatorship, “nothing is stopping her” from growing her family.

The Slumber Party singer has “talked about wanting a baby girl for years,” an insider told The Sun.

...Britney definitely wants more kids and she would be so happy and grateful with another son but deep down, her desire is to be a mama to a little girl.

“She wants to pass down her dresses and take her daughter to dance class, things her sons are not interested in,” the source explained.

However, Britney and her husband-to-be, Sam, want to “get married before they have any kids together” - but the insider claimed the pair are “not NOT trying to have a baby.”

...It could potentially happen soon but that's not her main focus right now. They both want children together and now there's nothing stopping her....

STAYING AWAY FROM HER PARENTS

The informant then alleged that if Britney does have any more kids, they will “absolutely not” have a relationship with her parents, Jamie and Lynne.

“Not in the foreseeable future, anyway. If and when she has a baby, Britney will do everything to protect him or her and raise the child in a safe environment.

“It's no secret that having those people around is not a safe space,” the informant alleged.

The music icon already has two sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, whom she shares with ex husband Kevin Federline.

She was married to Kevin from 2004 until 2007.

They split just one year before she was placed in a conservatorship.
